Garden Open House

Art. Nature. And a little unexpected discovery.
Outside, alongside the Anthony Vitale steel sculptures, PA native trees and meadow are growing and attracting a diverse array of creatures, from birds to grasshoppers. There are lots of places to roam and soak up the vibe in our new garden.
Inside, there is a studio, store, and gallery, including our first annual Plein Air Painting Challenge happening October 3rd from 9 am–2 pm. Artists will paint all morning and exhibit in the gallery that afternoon.
The Sculptures of Anthony R. Vitale
Anthony R. Vitale (1924-2006), a welder by trade and self-taught artist, combined “movement” and “steel” to create fluid, balanced sculptures. His work can be seen locally from Pittsburgh’s North Shore to the nationally recognized “Sundial” on Main Street in his hometown of Carnegie, PA. Double Dog Studios & Gardens has two large scale pieces, part of our permanent collection honoring his legacy.
