The May 20th Carnegie Primary is important for all of us
My name is Dave Klüg. I co-own Double Dog Studios and am running for Mayor of Carnegie. I am deeply connected to our community as a resident, business owner, professional illustrator, and artist.
The arts are essential in a small town because they help build a strong sense of community, identity, and pride. They unite people—whether through local theater, galleries, music, or public art—and create shared experiences connecting neighbors across generations and backgrounds. In places where resources may be limited, the arts offer creative outlets for self-expression and storytelling that preserve local history and culture. They can also boost the local economy by attracting visitors, supporting small businesses, and nurturing local talent. Simply put, the arts help towns like Carnegie feel alive, connected, and full of possibility.
